Pet Cremation Urns

Only an animal lover can understand the sadness of losing a pet. People tend to view their pets as part of the family, with personalities and charms as distinct as any playful child, eccentric aunt, or curmudgeonly grandfather. So, when a pet dies, the grief is often just as real and the sorrow as acute as if a human family member had passed away.

As in the death of a friend or relative, preserving the memory of a pet—by placing an outdoor monument in a garden or at the pet's burial site, for example—is one way of coping with grief. Choosing an attractive cremation urn to hold the cremated remains of your pet is another touching way to memorialize the four-legged friend who brought so much joy to your life.

Like cremation urns for people, pet cremation urns come in an assortment of designs, materials and sizes. Following are descriptions of some types of pet cremation urns offered by Perfect Memorials.

  • Wood pet urns - Natural wood urns come in a variety of finishes, including maple, cherry, oak, mahogany and walnut. From elegantly crafted classic shapes to dog houses, heart-shaped photo frames, and wooden trophy bases displaying animal figurines, wood pet urns convey a beautiful, rich warmth.
  • Stone pet urns - Alabaster, granite, marble, and onyx urns are available in an array of shapes and sizes, including classic vase, obelisk and monument styles as well as graceful angel, dolphin and dove figurines, just to name a few.
  • Metal pet urns - Bronze, brass, pewter, and copper are some of the metals used to make pet cremation urns in all shapes and sizes. From traditional urn styles to a statue of St. Francis, the patron of animals, metal pet cremation urns feature finishes in polished and brushed metal as well as cloisonné, mother-of-pearl and enamel.
  • Ceramic pet urns - These delicate pet cremation urns feature diverse, artistic imagery in designs limited only by the imagination-- from timeless urn shapes, to exquisite figurines, to a red fire hydrant with an engravable plate.
  • Cultured pet urns - Cultured pet cremation urns are formed from manufactured substances, cold-cast and fashioned to look and feel like stone, ceramic, or other traditional materials. Cultured pet urns are available in traditional styles as well as in the shape of garden rocks and dog or cat figurines representing various breeds.

The extensive line of pet cremation urns carried by Perfect Memorials also includes biodegradable pet urns, as well as pet urns with picture frames to showcase a favorite photo of your animal companion.
