This process is more natural than either burial or cremation, but it was devised here in the USA, and it is not resomation, it is “ALKALINE HYDROLYSIS” Resomation is simply a brand name of a marketing guy from Scotland, Not the name of the process, as was distinguished by the UK cremation Society. who decided to support alkaline hydrolysis, but shied away from being seen to be the supporter of a particular marketing firm. Regardless of the name this process must surely become the choice of anyone interested in the environment, pollution, or the waste of resources involved in burials and cremation

Great post Bradley – very informative. As with most bureaucracies things always seem to move slowly. Alkaline hydrolysis seems to offer some obvious environmental benefits with little downside.

Words cannot express our Thanks to Lorraine for bringing her hearse to Dalhart, Texas for the burial of our Grandson, Sgt. David Alan Davis, 26 Sept. 2009. I did not get to speak to her but David’s Dad did, and his Brother Roy Lynn Davis had the honor of driving hearse from Horizon Funeral Home to the Church and back.
Lorraine is truly an American Hero. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

We have noticed a decline in sales as well. We sell sympathy gift baskets to families and funeral homes. It seems people are choosing greeting cards or letters more than sending large gift baskets.

I think it’s a great idea. My brother died yesterday of a massive heart attack. He lives in Canada and his family lives in various areas Florida. Our Father just got out of the ICU 6 days after coming close to losing his life. My Mother is also extremely ill and unable to travel. I am trying to set up a service like this for both of them as it is the only way they can be apart of the service. To the Mansfield attorney, I would like to say, you sir are a very cold hearted person. Quit assuming everyone is in “great health” and able to travel. No wonder people speak so poorly of lawyers.

If the prolonged grief disorder is recognized as a medical condition, what would be the treatment? You state doctors can treat the disorder but I was just wondering if the treatment methods include drugs?
