Blue Contemporary Tear BottleA flame-worked glass tear bottle in our contemporary style. The bottle rim is hand painted in 24K gold luster. The cap is a Navy Quartz cabochon stone with a hand-carved cork stopper. Variations in color, paint and shape are characteristics of the hand made nature and are not to be considered defects.
Optional matching displays available include a 2" mirror tray or a 3-1/2" H x 1-3/4" mini dome.
The tear bottle tradition has historically been a mourning tradition. They symbolize an intensely personal gift in remembrance of a loved one. Tear bottles were fairly common in Roman times, when mourners filled small glass vials or bottles with tears and placed them in burial tombs as symbols of love and respect.

We order the bottle because we felt it would represent the artistic side of our brother. The bottle looks nothing like the picture on the web page. We are totally heartbroken and dont have time to order anything else.
