Sweet Angel

Reviewed By: Leslie D. on 08/15/2009

My 17 year old cat recently passed on. I knew I wanted to have her ashes versus anything else. I was searching for the perfect urn. I checked what the vet's office had to offer but felt they were a bit too expensive. I searched online and found this sweet little angel kitty. It looked so much like my Smokey when she was asleep. I didn't hesitate ordering. I am very happy with my purchase. My little angel has the perfect final resting place.

A Beautiful Final Home for our Sassy

Reviewed By: NANCY G. on 06/30/2009

We lost our 19-year-old red tabby Sassy and wanted a special urn for her remains in our home. I searched a few websites and many of them looked like urns. I wanted it displayed in our home where I could look at it and immediately recall cherished memories with our kitty. When I saw the Angel Kitty Cat in Basket, tears welled in my eyes and I knew this is what I'd been looking for. The beautiful bronze figurine looked just like our little girl. I had it shipped to my office address and when I opened the box and saw the urn with the her custom engraved tag, I started to cry. Several co-workers thought it was so beautiful. That night my husband gently placed her ashes inside and I cried again. It is such a beautiful final "home" for our Sassy. She is on a small table in our living room with a framed photo taken on her last day and 2 angel figurines holding kitties on either side. Thank you for this cherished item.

Nice but too expensive

Reviewed By: Holmes' Mom on 10/02/2009

I love the urn and the engravable tag. However, I do not think it was worth the $80+ I spent on it. The tag is glued onto the statue and looks a bit tacky. Oh well, what we pet parents won't do for our darlings.

Close to Perfect

I got this urn in the brass color, after much searching and wondering. The price here is much better than some other places, though I always recommend a search for the exact product at the time you wish to purchase it. I also recommend searching for a wide array of pictures if you aren't sure about this one: it helped me decide for certain. I knew from the description in various stores that this is a resin piece, not actual brass, but I agree, I wish it was brass or at least some metal, because I worry the resin will break and it just doesn't feel as substantial as I'd think ideal. Also, the color and texture aren't uniformly achieved all over the piece: for example, the ear looks almost grey and smooth inside. You should also be able to affix your own name tag, since it appears to be adhesive and mine was placed a little off center. The price is indeed more than it should be, but quite reasonable when compared with what you could pay for some very plain urns. In spite of any downsides, this is the best-looking cat urn I saw for my purposes. I wanted a figural pieces with a peaceful looking kitty, and that's what this is. The manufacturer should offer an individually painted one like they do for dogs, and/or one made in real brass. I'm sure some pet owners would be happy to pay more for a truly quality urn in this style. As it is, it is a sufficiently sturdy vessel for my little girl, beautiful in spite of any slight defects, and what makes me happiest is that it does resemble her and embody her spirit.

Kitty Urn

I love the Urn, however I thought it would be actual brass, not plastic. Not really worth the price but still lovely.

Perfect

Reviewed By: Heather on 12/30/2009

Many of the other urns I had seen at the funeral home and online were just not what I wanted. Some were too urn-looking, some were abstractions of cats that just didn't fit with what I was looking for, and another was downright creepy. But this one is perfect. It's how I think of my kitty--sleeping peacefully, as she did most of the time on my pillow in her later years. I'd rather she still be with me in the flesh, but since she had to go, this was the next best option. This urn is adorable and it brings me comfort to have her still with me in a form that represents her closer than the others urns I had seen. Highly recommended.
