I recieved this stone as a gift after the untimely death of my two-year-old biological child. I carried him as a traditional surrogate for close friends who were infertile. I have never felt like his mother, but I would describe our relationship like that of a gradparent/grandchild. I could see myself in him, and I adored him endlessly, but I equally adored seeing his mother being his mommy. when an undiagnosed congenital defect stole him away form us all, we were devestated. This stone allows me to keep a sturdy and beautiful memorial for him with me everywhere I go since my husband is military and we move often. No child has ever been more loved than W was, none more wanted nor more cherished. This stone expresses my grief perfectly. it has been invaluable in facilitating my healing.
