The Ocean Rose Cloisonne Cremation Urn is distinguished by the copper wire inlay between the colorful enamel. The base cremation urn is hammered from first quality copper before the filigree soldering is filled with colors of enamel and then fired up to nine times. The finish is highly polished using three different stones before being gilded. This urn has a top-opening lid. Due to the nature of enamel, colors may vary with each cremation urn.
What is cloisonne art?
Cloisonne is an ancient art form invited by the French and perfected by the Chinese. Cloisonne predates stained glass art. Made from brass, copper and colored enamel, cloisonne is crafted by hand and the finished item is fired in a kiln and gilded. As a result of this intricate process, every cloisonne piece is a beautiful, durable and unique work of art.
