Outdoor Memorials - Memorial MarkersLearn about Outdoor Memorials - Memorial Markers
From traditional grave markers to memorial stones and benches, outdoor memorials are a lovely way to pay tribute to a deceased loved one or pet in a peaceful, natural setting.
Since ancient times, family members have used markers to identify the burial plots of their loved ones. Over the centuries, grave markers evolved from primitive piles of rock to today's beautifully crafted creations of stone, granite, bronze or marble.
The growing popularity of cremations in recent years has led to a corresponding reduction in the number of in-ground burials. But although the practical need for grave markers has declined, the natural human desire for a special place to commemorate the dead – a physical location where one can pay tribute to a friend or family member who has died – endures.
Perfect Memorials offers a variety of outdoor memorials to suit any taste and fit any budget. Following are some examples.
Garden Bench Memorials

- Memorial stone cremation urns. These combination urns/memorials stones make handsome garden monuments. Each memorial stone cremation urn comes with standard engraving; to personalize, choose a stone that includes a custom-engravable marble or bronze insert.
- Statuary memorial stones. Perfect Memorials offers statuary memorial stones in the shapes of crosses, totems, animals, tablets, and more. These statuary memorial stones are weatherproof and designed to last a lifetime.
Our burial markers are made of polished black granite and custom-etched by expert craftsmen using the latest laser technology to produce imagery and text with the highest quality and clarity and exceptional detail. Burial markers may be engraved with standard images and text, or you can specify custom engraving.
Some of our burial markers are suitable for portrait etching. Just send your original color or black-and-white photo. We will send a draft of the layout for your approval and then return your original photo along with the finished marker. We can also modify the image upon request.
A monument rock is a dignified memorial tribute that may be displayed in a cemetery, memorial park, cremation garden or your own yard.
Cast from real rocks and featuring one-inch-thick walls, Perfect Memorials' monument rocks are designed to withstand 9,000 pounds of pressure per square inch as well as extreme hot and cold temperatures. And although they are virtually indistinguishable from natural boulders weighing up to 1,000 pounds, our monument rocks weigh only 50 to 60 pounds, thanks to their hollow construction.
Monument rocks are available in three colors – sandstone, slate gray and red rock – and each rock comes with a handsome, solid bronze plaque, 7.5 inches wide by 5 inches high, which can be engraved with up to 9 lines of text (46 characters and/or spaces per line), according to your specifications.
Your monument rock can also double as a cremation urn. The optional moisture-resistant urn is available in a single or companion size to hold ashes and/or keepsakes.
Enter in an approximate weight of your loved one before cremation and we will tell you the size needed.
Try finding an urn with our easy cremation urn finder.
Choosing the right size urn is easy. For every one pound before cremation you will need 1 cubic inch of volume. For example, a loved one weighing 200 pounds will need an urn that is at least 200 cubic inches or larger. Choosing an urn larger then you need is OK.
