What is cloisonne art?

Cloisonne is an ancient art form invented by the French and perfected by the Chinese. Cloisonne predates stained glass art. Made from brass, copper and colored enamel, cloisonne is crafted by hand and the finished item is fired in a kiln and gilded. As a result of this intricate process, every cloisonne piece is a beautiful, durable and unique work of art.

Perfect Urn for Mom

Reviewed By: Patricia Reed on 09/25/2013

My mother before she died said that she wanted to be dressed in a blue dress with white accessories. She was cremated and so we did not dress her and she had no blule dress anyway.

However, we wanted to honor her wishes for an eternal rest in blue and white and this Cloisonne keepsake urn was perfect! My brother and sister and I each purchased one and they are more than perfect.

We think she was thinking of the sky and now she is clothed forever (so to speak) in it and blue and white.

Thanks Perfect Memorials.
