About Dog Urns

Saying goodbye to your beloved companion is a difficult process. There is an irreplaceable void in your heart, and a longing to have your home filled with your pet’s life and love again. Knowing how to preserve the memories of your dog can be tough, especially during a time of grieving. Whether you decide to keep your dog urn in your home, or in a cemetery, dog cremation urns are a special way to keep your dog’s unconditional love, companionship, and memory in your hearts.

Perfect Memorials has a wide range of dog urns for ashes, starting at just under $20. Our pet urns for dogs can be customized with engravings, sentiments, artwork, and even poems that help us put into words, our memories.

Choosing the Right Sized Dog Urn

When picking an urn for your dog, it is important to know that the cremation process is completed differently, and the dog urn will need additional space for the ashes. We suggest adding an additional 10-15 cubic inches to the urn. So, if your dog had a healthy weight of 100 lbs. it is recommended to find an urn that is 110-115 cubic inches in size, or bigger.

If you find an urn that is larger than the minimum size, that is perfectly acceptable. Many people choose to use the additional space in the urn to put something that was close to their dog, like their favorite toy or collar.

When searching for the right urn, the size of each urn will be listed under each picture. You can also click on ‘view product’ to see the complete description of each dog urn, including the size/dimensions, material used, and personalization options.

Dog Cremation Urn Options

The reason why our pets, and especially dogs, leave such an imprint in our hearts is because of the unbreakable bond that we create with them. At Perfect Memorials, we understand the significance of that bond and provide a wide range of personalization options for our pet urns for dogs. We offer:

If choosing to have names, dates, or sentiments engraved on your dog urn, engravings can be up to 4 lines and 35 characters per line and will be done on the front of the urn. If choosing a poem engraving you can choose from 10 different short poems. Depending on the urn, it will be on the front or the back.

If you are unsure of the correct size or need additional questions about a specific dog urn answered, you can contact us by phone at 1-800-979-8767 or by email at support@perfectmemorials.com and we can assist you as best as we can.

Choosing the right size urn

Try finding an urn with our easy cremation urn finder.

Choosing the right size urn is easy. For every one pound before cremation you will need 1 cubic inch of volume. For example, a loved one weighing 200 pounds will need an urn that is at least 200 cubic inches or larger. Choosing an urn larger then you need is OK.
