Sports Urn Options

Perfect Memorials offers urns that celebrate a wide number of different sports, including the following:

  • Baseball
  • Golf
  • Football
  • Basketball
  • Curling
  • Boxing
  • Martial Arts
  • Hunting
  • Racing

This is just a small number of the range of different sports urns available. Whatever sport you're looking for, you're sure to find an urn from Perfect Memorials that meets your needs.

Urn Styles

Because sports urns are defined by the particular sport, they are available in a variety of styles. Some of the most common are wooden boxes, brass vases, and metal or resin cubes. You can even find urns with a small sculpture on top for many sports.

Whether the urn includes a photo, engraving, or sculpture, you're likely to have a number of image options to choose from. For a baseball urn, for example, you may be able to choose from images of crossed bats, a swinging batter, or a baseball.

How to Choose an Urn

Choosing a sports urn for your loved one is a highly personal decision, but understanding the different types of urns and their sizes is important. Take a look at our helpful guide, How To Choose The Right Cremation Urn, which offers practical tips to guide you through the process.

Once you know which type of urn you need and what style you want, you'll need to know the volume of the cremains that you plan to put into the urn. Perhaps the easiest way to determine this is to know the weight of the deceased before cremation. Typically, 1 pound of weight is equal to 1 cubic inch of volume of cremains. Each urn from Perfect Memorials includes the volume capacity, so you can choose the urn that will accommodate your requirements. It's best to choose an urn with a little extra space so that there is no risk that the urn is too small.

Urn Personalization Options

Most urns from Perfect Memorials can be personalized with custom engraving. You can include the engraving information right on the order page in most cases. If there is no engraving option, it may not be possible to directly personalize that particular urn. For sports urns that cannot be engraved, you may want to consider an urn medallion or urn pendant, which can rest on the urn, or an easel that can sit next to it.

Choosing the right size urn is easy. For every one pound before cremation you will need 1 cubic inch of volume. For example, a loved one weighing 200 pounds will need an urn that is at least 200 cubic inches or larger. Choosing an urn larger then you need is OK.
