Cremation urn

Reviewed By: Jean Zarris on 05/14/2010

I liked the urn and the engraving was just what I wanted. My only negative comment is that I could not get the bottom off. After removing the screws, the bottom was solid. I knew that if I tried to pry it off, I would either destroy the bottom wood or break the sides of the box. I called your 800 number and they told me to run a knife along the edges of the bottom wood to break the glue seal that must have formed. Since it is an emotional thing to be placing your loved ones ashes in the urn, the additional stress of having to call for help could be avoided by making sure that the urns function as they are supposed to before shipping.

The Hamilton wood urn was finished nicely and the engraving was crisp. It was as pictured and was quite large inside. However, even though the bottom is not often viewed the bottom panel could have fit better and one screw did not securely engage the side of hte urn. Attention to these details could have easily gotten a '5' rating from me.

Hamilton Wood Cremation Urn

Reviewed By: Mark on 10/01/2010

The urn is absolutely beautiful but a bit lighter in color than the photo suggests. I saw in prior reviews that the bottom cover gave some purchasers trouble but that was not the case with this urn. I did, however, have to lightly sand some material from the bottom of one of the "legs" so that it would sit flat on a shelf without rocking. Overall I am extremely pleased with this product. This being the first time purchasing such an item and not knowing what to expect, the entire transaction went smoothly and I would definitely recommend this urn and Perfect Memorials to anyone. Thank you.

Hamilton Urn

Beautiful urn, exquisite engraving. I am extremely happy with my purchase. My only concern is with the bottom plate. It is very, very flimsy and I believe I will need to add extra screws and possibly use wood glue around the edges.

I ordered the above urn and recieved it in perfect condition. The urn looks as it did in the website photo, which really impressed me. The construction was excellent, and the engraving was clear and accurate. This was the first time I have had to purchase such an item, and I would fully recommend this company.

Hamilton Wooden Urn

Reviewed By: L Clites on 08/21/2012

The wooden urn was satisfactory for the price I paid but I had gotten one earlier fron the Cremation Society and it was finished much nicer with a hand rubbed finish. This one was OK for the money but next time I think I will opt for a hand rubbed urethane finish or tung oil finish. I guess I will tung oil mine that I just bought myself.

The Hamilton Wood Cremation Urn in Cherry wood was
beautiful and the engraving was perfect. Also shipped with great care and expedient. I would recommend this beautiful Urn to anyone.
The bottom screws were a little to small and almost stripped when trying to get them out, also sides were stuck from the finish, but not to hard to open.
I also would recommend this size should accommodate the container that comes from the crematorium.

The Beautiful Wooden Urn for my Husband

Reviewed By: Kathy-Ann Baus on 06/26/2012

When I lost my husband after a very short (9 mos.) battle with bladder cancer, I was devastated. When he told me shortly before he died that he wanted to donate his body to science, I cried and cried. When he then told me that I would get him back as ashes in two years, I was beside myself. Last Monday, my husband came back home to me and I needed a place to keep his ashes until my sons and I can agree on a final resting place. After taking a vote on the type of wood, the name as it would appear, even something as simple as the dates (everything went to committee) we just received the most beautiful wooded urn that might very well exist in this world. Thank you.
